While participating in the SAPS National Half-marathon held in Rustenburg during October 2017, I decided that I wanted to run all the marathon races in the Bay during 2018.
I ran a very tough 21.1 km, and managed to get a medal. I noticed that it is very important go to any race well-prepared - therefore the National Championships event was an eye-opener for me.
I would also like to invite all police officials (especially the young ones) to take sport seriously, as it is good for our health and our job needs fit personnel. I am not just doing athletics for my own good and for my own benefit; I also want to put my cluster (Motherwell cluster) and my station (New Brighton SAPS) on the map.
Let us fly the police flag very high; men and women in blue.
