The Eastern Cape Police and Pensioners’ Forum for retired police officers was founded in April 2019 in Port Elizabeth with ten men and one woman. Our membership has already grown to 64 members (at the time of writing), but sadly four of our members have also passed away.

We welcome all retired police members and former police members from the various police stations in the Eastern Cape and surrounding areas. We meet every three months at one of the police stations in the area (with permission).

In addition to socialising and sharing stories of the good times we had while serving the country, we also assist the families of members who have passed on.

In future, we want to visit and donate food parcels to members who are in dire financial need, but we first need to obtain the required registration as a non-profit organisation.

We also support the efforts of the Elderly Care Fund for Retired Police Officials through our monthly contributions to them.

Any retired or former police members who want to join us, is welcome to contact the Chairperson, Mr Reginald Barendse via e-mail: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or cell: 083 301 4205.
